Topography of Some Climbs I've Done Over the Years
Graphs of the climb in meters forward vs height. Blacky, Corree and Fitz's are all similar, Tuggers is the same height, but you get a long break in the middle (with a descent then reclimb), and the mighty Mt Clear and Tidbinbilla, put the rest in perspective :)
Grades of each Climb
10% means for every ten meters forward, you go up one meter, 50% means for every meter forward you up one (damn steep).
10% is granny gear, maybe one or two gears off that if you are feeling really strong.
Anything above 20-25% is walking territory, not ridable due to lack of traction and lung power :)
The near 50% stuff at Mt Clear is where it is really hard to push your bike up, you have to get under it and shove it up the hill.
