Mount Clear - Anticlockwise

Neil and I have been to Mt Clear a few times before, and we usually go clockwise, pushing our bikes up the steep North face and descending down the smooth South side. It's a bit silly really, but I never really thought about trying to go the other way, I guess I am a creature of habit :)

Today though, I decided we should try and go the other way, as I read someone else's website that claimed they had ridden the whole way, with no pushing.

It turns out they were right, you can indeed ride the entire way! The climbs were all easy enough to pedal up, a couple of them pretty tough, but short pinches and doable. We reached the summit in what seemed like no time, and stopped for a bite to eat, before bombing down the other side. I was worried the descent would be so steep it might be dangerous, but it wasn't at all. A controlled descent was easy enough and we had some fun on the water bars and plenty of tag team opposite lock on the corners :)

This is definitely the best route, rideable all the way!

On the way back through the valley to the cars there's a water crossing, hitting that at over 30km/h is a bit stupid really, or so I found out... after I was thourouhly drenched from head to toe... it's a bit deeper than anticipated ;)
