The BOM are predicting a fine day for Sunday (will be pissing down tommorow, but I don't care, Ill be at work :)), with rain on Saturday. CANBERRA: Afternoon/evening showers and storm Min: 9 Max: 26 OUTLOOK: Friday Partly cloudy Max: 21 Saturday Possible showers Max: 18 Sunday Fine Max: 20 - This week we'll head North side for a laugh at the awe inspiringly huge hills of Belconnen :) *subtle stab* But seriously, the hills of Bruce and Oconner Ridge will be the go, with a detour to Gossan Hill. Descrption of the ride... - Distance: 12.9km Time: 75 minutes Grade: Medium Surface Type: 60% gravel maintenance tracks, 40% unformed tracks and paths Map reference: Canberra Cycleways Map (2nd Edition) pages 7 and 9 Features: A ride along undulating track and pathways through eucalypt bushland, with glimpsed views of North Canberra. - Although there is one climb at the start, it will warm us up for the ride ahead which will be mostly easy going and flat, with optional downhill shortcuts for the keen! 40% of the ride will be on smaller tracks much like some of the ones last week, hope everyone is cool with that? Starting point will be at a small informal parking area on Dryandra Street, O'Connor, about 400 metres north from where the City to Belconnen bike path crosses Dryandra Street close to the Macarthur Avenue roundabout.
