Another adventurous run on the Mt Clear loop saw
us walking back with an injured
rider....again
We set of on the same route as last time from the Mt
Clear campground toward Horse Gully Hut. Riding fairly
hard I was impressed by Izabella and Steve keeping up
with me and Neil. The dowhill sections just got better
and better the further we went on the trail, but at
the 8km mark Steve had a fairly nasty spill,
spraining his thumb and scratching both legs. A fall that
meant he could no longer ride :(
A fairly easy 2
hour walk back gave me time to gather respect for this
environment, as it has proved it's power to me twice
now.
The problems we have had here fill me the want to
return and beat this fu%$^ker of a hill! We'll be back,
and next time I'll make that damn 32km loop if it
kills me, or one of my friends :)
