Chris and I hit the hill on the other side of
Athlon drive from Mt Taylor (if anyone knows the name,
let me know!) on our own. The climb was alright up
the South face, but grassy in spots as we opted to
avoid trails (Chris' brilliant idea). We found a great
little downhill on the way back down on the west side
and it was and easy ride back on the trail on the
lower south edge.
We even found a little BMX style
track some local kids must have made, good fun on an
oversized MTB!
The return to the car saw Chris and I try
our first true off road (no trail experience) at
speed. I found me a big rock in the grass while cruising
at top speed and quickly learned how to fly, an art
I would perfect in later rides :)
