This run is still awesome, and right at my front
door. We headed anticlockwise around the Mountain,
intending to to do the climb I raved about last
time.

Simon and I were too tired when we got there. The two
weeks I have had off have proven that you lose 50% of
your fitness in that time (goddamn that's
depressing!). We got to the power station and decided to to
give the huge climb a miss and just kept following the
base trail back to my place.

I missed the dirt
downhill last time and switched onto the road at the water
tank, perceverance this time would lead Simon and I to
an awesome and very fast (and rough) 2-3km downhill
run home. We did 40km/h most of the way. A great
downhill with heaps of challenging rough bits, made the
40min climb on the South side worth it :)

Will
be back when I'm fitter and climb it to the top like
last time.
You also get a tease view of the
awesome Rob Roy run from here. It truely is a beast of a
hill. I still dream I will ride it one
day....
