Chris and I set off solo from my place with the
aim to climb the Rob Roy Range, an excellent hill at
the back on Lanyon (often called Lanyon
Hill). Doods hanglide off the top of this hill and land at
Lanyon Homestead, so trust me, this puppy is
HUGE. The climb up the track from Conder was too steep for
our inexperience and we ended up walking. We quickly
got bored of walking and only made it about 3/4 of
the way up the first climb :( Turning around I
realised just how steep the bastard actually is and fear
set in! We took an easy route down over the grass and
luckily avoided an large rocks (unlike last
time!)
Will definiteley be coming back to do this again, with
the aim to actually ride up the thing. A task I could
probably manage by now (I wrote this on 9/12/98).
